Photo from the Road: New Hampshire Mushrooms

New Hampshire’s Great North Woods is a paradise for any outdoor enthusiast. But while most are casting a fishing line, paddling their canoe, listening to the sounds of the loon, gazing out at the surrounding mountains, or stalking moose, I was looking down, down to the ground where I found a world of mushrooms.

I wasn’t expecting to see such a variety or such wild shapes and colors, but during a few sort hikes, these are some of the mushrooms I saw:

Nice pics. I’m in Maine right now and was thinking of doing a similar story. The variety up here is really cool!

Thanks William. I’m actually headed up to Maine right now myself, hoping to do some more hiking and will inevitably see many more mushrooms.

Check out those mushrooms! It’s amazing how dynamic looking they are. It reminds me of mushroom documentary in Korea a while ago. Mushrooms are fascinating creatures for sure. And they look so good! It’s almost hard not to eat them!

@Juno. I would have liked to see some Korean mushrooms…but the times I’ve been hiking there, the ground has been covered in snow.
