Photo from the Road: Colorado Alpine Flowers

We were lucky enough to be in Colorado for the peak of wildflower season. At all elevations in every place we hiked: Rocky Mountain National Park, the Fraser Valley, on Torreys Peak, we saw a beautiful diversity of species with brilliant colors. Most spectacular are the alpine flowers among the wild grasses and rock among the remaining patches of July snow. This shot was taken just below the Continental Divide from the Devil’s Thumb trail above Fraser, CO.
